GRID FEED SOLAR SYSTEMS
Since 1997, AWS has been specializing in grid connected Photo Voltaic solar systems. These systems do not involve batteries, and the electricity made by the panels is used by the building, the excess is exported to the grid via a dedicated meter.
A grid - connect solar PV system is an array of photovoltaic modules connected via an inverter to provide for your home.
- During the day the panels are converting sunlight into dc electricity and the inverter converts this into 240V ac electricity. This will power your home and any excess will be fed into the grid.
- At night, when the solar modules are not producing electricity, the electricity comes to you from the grid.
- You only pay for the power you use that is excess to the power you produce. If you consistently produce more power than you consume, your energy retailer will pay you for the excess power. Mandatory feed-in tariff (in cents per kWh) are being introduced in some Australian states.

STAND ALONE POWER SYSTEMS (SAPS)
FOR REMOTE AREA POWER SUPPLY
Traditionally, SAPS systems are used where connection to the main grid is unfeasible or unavailable. Typically weekenders, farms or remote properties fall into this group.
In an effort to convert properties from generators to solar, the Government is offering up to 50% of the cost of a SAPS system (RRPGP). There has never been a better time to install a SAPS system. Of course, conditions apply, so please contact us for details
Australia-Wide Solar has designed and built its own system board which has been exported throughout Australia and many Pacific Islands. This is a plug and play system that is bench tested in our factory, and makes for the simplest connection.

The elements of a SAPS system are the solar modules; batteries; inverter; and optional generator. We design the system according to the predicted loads (lights and appliances). This will vary with each property, and generator dependency will affect the size of the solar array and battery bank. Wind turbines can be added to our system board, and can be a significant charge source in the right location. Our SAPS systems will be designed to maximize your power needs to your budget.
